ITIN Certified Acceptance Agent (CAA)

At Mi Gente Taxes we help individuals who are not eligible to apply for a social security number but need an ITIN for tax purposes.  Examples of these individuals are non-resident aliens, dependents, or spouses of U.S. citizens or residents who are required to file U.S. tax returns but do not qualify for SSN.

As Certified Acceptance Agent’s (CAA) Mi Gente Taxes is authorize to review and verify documents provided by the applicants, certify the authenticity of passports and birth certificates, and assist in completing the ITIN application.  Once the applicant passport or birth certificate is certified, the certified copies will be send once the applicant’s passport.  This will provide peace of mind that the originals have no chance of being lost in the mail.  Mi Gente Taxes acts as intermediary between the applicant and the IRS.
